Masked Man Robs Bank in Sandy Springs: Police
The robbery was reported early Wednesday evening at Wells Fargo on Glenridge Point Parkway.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Detectives are on the trail of a surgical mask-wearing man accused of threatening to shoot bank tellers during an armed robbery.
Sandy Springs police were dispatched around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 to Wells Fargo at 125 Glenridge Point Parkway and met with an employee, who was able to provide a description of the man and the direction he fled in.
According to an incident report released by the agency, the man entered the bank, pointed a handgun at two employees and demanded money.

He also threatened to shoot if them if they did not cooperate with his demand, the report notes.
Employees described the person of interest as a black male with a medium build and about 5 feet, 5 inches tall.

He also had a short hair cut, and was wearing a black hat, surgical mask on his face, glasses, black gloves, black shirt and pants, black shoes and was carrying a black backpack.
The employees told police the man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. While canvassing a wooded area near the bank, another witness came forward and told police he saw a man matching the employees' description run down a hill and hop into an older model, gray four-door vehicle with several dents.
The alleged bank robber got into the car and directed an unidentified driver of the vehicle to "hurry up," the report states.
The car was last seen peeling out of a parking lot to Glenridge Point Parkway.
