Medical Practice Welcomes New Doctor, Expands To Include Rheumatology

The medical practice is now named Peachtree Dunwoody Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and a new doctor, Dr. Elizabeth D. Butler, rheumatologist, has joined the team.

The addition of rheumatology allows the physician practice “to expand its scope of services to include, preventative care, acute care and chronic condition services for adult patients,” according to Northside Hospital’s press release.

“I’m excited joining this great and experienced team of physicians at my practice and a Northside Hospital,” Dr. Butler said. “For our patients’ convenience, we have also added X-ray capabilities that in addition to our in-house lab work give patients faster results.”

Dr. Butler is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and rheumatology, who brings more than three decades of experience to Peachtree Dunwoody Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Butler completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale School of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals, followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Prior to joining Peachtree Dunwoody Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, Dr. Butler practiced at Del Mazo Medical Services, PC. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the Georgia Rheumatology Society and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rheumatology Society.
