The greatest tragedy of the American Experience was the Civil War of 1861-1865. The loss of men was staggering even by today’s standards of destructive military might. It was a period of a marked increase in the killing power of weapons and the useful incredibly imperfect science of medicine.
The presentation will discuss the drugs and treatments during the Civil War and the progress made for future generation in war and peace
The Civil War Chats will take place at November 13 at 7PM in the Garden Room, the lower level of the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum, 6075 Sandy Springs Circle.
