NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes Features Two Sandy Springs Homes
The NARI Tour features seven private homes across north Atlanta that have been remodeled by NARI members. Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m

NARI Atlanta, the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, will present its Fifth Annual Tour of Remodeled Homes Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Seven private homes transformed by NARI members throughout Atlanta’s northern suburbs will be open to the public, with the remodeling teams on hand to discuss each project and answer questions. One of the featured homes is located in the Chastain Park area and another is located in Sandy Springs. Proceeds from the tour will benefit CURE Childhood Cancer (www.curechildhoodcancer.org). The tour is self-guided and will be held rain or shine. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the tour, and are available at www.AtlantaRemodelingTour.com, along with a downloadable map showing each home location. Valerie Hoff of 11Alive is the Tour’s Honorary Chair.
The Sandy Springs tour homes and the remodelers are:
• Handcrafted Homes, Inc. – home in Chastain Park area – the remodeler created a terrace-level entertainment area with multiple purposes. The central area with its bar and game table is visible from the under-stair wine cellar and media room. The bar includes a sink, dishwasher, ice maker and refrigerator, with a TV above the bar. Custom cabinets were crafted from walnut grown on the homeowner’s farm.
• Neighbors Home Remodeling – home in Sandy Springs – the remodeler created a Tuscan-style kitchen complete with faux painting and a hand-carved travertine farm sink. The old laundry room was converted into a functional pantry with slide-out shelves and a stacked washer and dryer to increase storage space. All electrical outlets, switches and lights are under the cabinets for a clean and unobstructed backsplash.

About CURE Childhood Cancer
CURE Childhood Cancer was founded in Atlanta in 1975 by Emory University’s first pediatric oncologist, Dr. Abdel Ragab. Today, CURE Childhood Cancer’s mission is to conquer childhood cancer through funding targeted research and through support of patients and their families. The non-profit also funds basic and clinical cancer research, training of future pediatric oncologists and researchers through a fellowship program at Emory University School of Medicine, emergency financial assistance for families stricken by childhood cancer and innovative programs that address the critical and urgent needs of patients and their families. www.curechildhoodcancer.org
