“The symptoms of GYN cancers can be challenging to diagnose,” said Dr. Tenney. “They often appear similar to non-cancerous conditions. We work closely with patients and referring physicians to individualize treatment plans and we incorporate minimally invasive techniques, research and clinical trials.”

A University of Miami Miller School of Medicine graduate, Dr. Tenney completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor college of Medicine and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Prior to joining UGO, Dr. Tenney was an Assistant Professor at The University of Chicago where she was principal investigator on numerous clinical trials and the Chair of Quality and Patient Safety for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of several professional organizations and societies and her work has been widely published.
