The Comprehensive Land Use Plan provides guidance, creating a general blueprint for future development projects as an advisory document. Zoning, what is allowable today, regulates the type, scale and intensity of development which can occur in the specific zoning districts.
Following adoption of the plan, the focus will be on updating Sandy Springs' zoning code, including development of a Development Code which combines zoning with subdivision and other related development regulations into a single document, providing clear and consistent language, including graphics, to illustrate the regulations.
