North Springs Celebrates Homecoming with Week of Festivities

The school's week of events will lead up to its homecoming game, tailgate and alumni barbecue on Friday and Spartan Parade on Saturday.

North Springs Charter High School this week will celebrate its 2014 Homecoming with a slew of events.

This week’s festivities will lead up to the Spartans’ Homecoming game, tailgate and alumni BBQ on Friday, Oct. 24 and the Spartan Parade on Saturday, Oct. 25; all alumni and community friends are invited to attend.

Friday night’s festivities begin at 5 p.m. with Future Business Leaders of America’s tailgate complete with food trucks, games, dunk tank and the sale of 2014 Viva Las North Springs black out t-shirts —a nod to this year’s Las Vegas theme.

The Spartan Parade, led by the Marching Spartan Band will step off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 from Woodland Elementary and proceed down Spalding Drive to North Springs Charter. The road will be blocked to traffic, thanks to the city of Sandy Springs and its police department.

All week Spartans will be celebrating with special costume spirit days planned and coordinated by the Student Government Association. On Tuesday, Oct. 21, the school’s chorus will present their fall concert at 7 p.m. and on Thursday, Oct. 23, the first Sprangs Got Talent show will begin at 6 p.m.
