The North Springs chapter also received the Outstanding Chapter award and the Guy and Kitty Hollis Gold Seal of Chapter Merit award. The North Springs FBLA chapter has quadrupled in size over the last five years with over 200 members in 2015-16.
“It’s inspiring to see our students exploring career and leadership opportunities with so much determination while in high school," said Sallie Holloway, North Springs FBLA adviser. "I’m proud of the growth of our chapter and the success our members earn for their hard work; for many, this is the capstone activity of their academic careers. ”
North Springs FBLA hopes to continue its growth in membership and competition success. This year the
chapter aims to expand to 300 members, and earn a spot at the 2017 National Leadership Conference in
Anaheim, California.
“The fact that our chapter wasn’t even qualifying for nationals 5 years ago gives us even more reason to celebrate the national winners we’ve had each year since then," said North Springs FBLA co-adviser Brain Patterson. "We work with outstanding students."
