North Springs To Host Open House For Potential Students, Parents

North Springs Charter High School will host its Discover North Springs! open house for prospective students and parents next month.

The open house will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.

Prospective families will be able to meet and talk with Principal Dr. Eddie Ruiz, faculty, staff, students and parents, tour the school and learn about the many academic offerings and exciting extracurricular activities available.

Showcased will be the four academies at North Springs — Humanities, Math & Science, Visual & Performing Arts and Career, Technical & Leadership — along with information about diploma options, the arts and sciences magnet programs, course offerings such as 24 Advanced Placement classes, internships, 17 varsity sports and over 70 clubs and activities.

Refreshments will be served.

North Springs is a comprehensive college preparatory public high school in the Fulton County School System. Students living outside North Springs’ attendance zone may apply to attend via the math/science and visual/performing arts magnet programs.

Magnet applications are available online and are due Jan. 16, 2015.

North Springs also gives student ambassador-led tours the first and third Thursdays of the month. The schedule and online registration is available on the school’s website.
