North Springs Thespians Portray Characters In Cemetery Tour
The students will perform in Friday night's haunted half mile history tour of the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

From North Springs HS: 13 North Springs thespians, 11 students and the school's two drama teachers are thrilled about their upcoming roles bringing historical figures from Sandy Springs to "life" - not on stage - but outdoors in the City's oldest cemetery. They are actors in Friday night's haunted half mile history tour of the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery - a popular part ofHaunted Sandy Springs - a Halloween inspired community event sponsored by Heritage Sandy Springs.
"We're really excited," said Thespian president Jordan Thompson. "We've been wanting to do something in the community and are grateful to have been asked."
The students, all performing arts magnet students, are busy learning their lines and lining up their costumes.

"One of our parents, Catherine Thomas, works as a professional in costume design and has been so helpful with the period costumes. I'm portraying a woman who died in a house fire in 1993, so my costuming is easier, but for example, one actor is a Creek Indian, another is a Civil War soldier " Thompson added.
"We are doing our own make up with the help of our student make up artist, junior Sophia Otranto. We can't wait."
