Northside Hospital Awarded $80,000 Grant For Breast Care Programs
The money from It's The Journey, Inc. will be used towards breast diagnostic services to women within and outside metro Atlanta.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Northside Hospital was awarded two separate $40,000 grants by It’s The Journey, Inc., producer of the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. This $80,000 will be applied towards breast diagnostic services to women both living within Atlanta and outside metro-Atlanta.
These grants are two of 27 grants awarded by It’s The Journey this year to breast cancer programs across Georgia.
“We are privileged to facilitate the increased reach of these incredibly impactful breast health organizations,” said Kimberly Goff, executive director of It’s The Journey. “Their efforts extend across the entire state, reaching over 16,000 Georgians in need of breast health services in over 100 counties. We are proud that our grants remain focused on local needs and impact the lives of Georgians, providing crucial access to services ranging from clinical breast exams, screening mammograms, diagnostics, genetic counseling and testing, to direct financial assistance.”

It’s The Journey, Inc. produces the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, an annual endurance walk that raises funds for breast health and breast cancer programs in Georgia.
