Starting Tuesday, Aug. 25 and running through Thursday, Aug. 27, the operation will be done to test sections of the roadway, GDOT added.

This operation will require crews to close the left lane and shoulder lane on the east and westbound sides of the perimeter from Ashford Dunwoody Road in DeKalb County to Riverside Drive in Sandy Springs.

The lane closures will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day through Aug. 27, GDOT says.

The public should be aware that slower speeds are necessary due to reduced travel lanes in this area. Since this is a work zone, motorists are advised to use extreme caution as they travel through this area.

Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
