The service is available to all area employers and property managers to assist them in developing alternative transportation programs and offerings for their employees and tenants.

“The success of the Perimeter market is due to our focus on transportation improvements and alternatives,” said Yvonne Williams, CEO and president of the PCIDs. “We are excited to announce Perimeter Connects, a consultancy service which will offer employers a wide variety of transportation and transit options to improve the bottom line, reduce carbon footprint emissions and hopefully improve employee satisfaction and productivity as well.”

Perimeter Connects will assume the clientele of the Perimeter Transportation Sustainability Coalition (PTSC), which provided service to many of the Central Perimeter’s largest and leading employers including Cox, State Farm Insurance, UPS and Newell Rubbermaid.

Perimeter Connects is already meeting with area employers, property managers and human resource executives to map out plans, and just completed a series of successful Earth Day celebration events.

Typical offerings of Perimeter Connects include discounted/bulk sale MARTA Breeze cards for employees; GRTA shuttle and vanpool assembly and routing; as well as commute benefits consultation services.

The program can assist in development of telework and alternative work arrangements; as well as promoting active transportation utilizing PATH trails and bike lanes. Emily Haar, program manager, joins Perimeter Connects after serving as the assistant director of Midtown Transportation, a program of the Midtown Alliance.
