Pin-Up Art Gallery Opens at North Springs

More than 40 students have their works on display at the school.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Art students at North Springs Charter High School have their talents on display at the school's art gallery.

The gallery, which had been closed for the past year, received a makeover by parent volunteers who helped patch and repaint walls to accommodate the works of more than 40 students.

A pin-up art reception was held Sunday afternoon during the school's Discover North Springs annual open house.

"We are really pleased to have the gallery space again," said visual arts teacher and National Honor Society sponsor Lauren Dellaria. "Not only do we get to showcase great student art, but the students gain valuable experience mounting shows in a working gallery. It's an important part of real world learning for artists."

The exhibit will be on display through early December.
