That’s because starting in October, the commission will convene its meetings at 6 p.m., an hour earlier than the current 7 p.m. start time.
Its work sessions will also begin at 5:30 p.m.

Sandy Springs notes the change came at the request of the Planning Commission “to better align with the schedule of the City Council, which holds regular meetings at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month.
The Planning Commission, which meets on the third Thursday of the month, is an advisory board, which reports its finding and recommendations to the Sandy Springs mayor and City Council. It considers recommendations for rezonings, use permits, concurrent variances and changes to zoning maps and ordinances.
