They were greeted by veggies galore! Over the first weeks of school, students gathered around a garden they had started in May and could be seen harvesting a quite a large amount of fresh vegetables.
Teacher Emily Rhoades led the project with the fourth grade and the now current fifth grade students were pleased to see that their efforts of digging, planting, and watering resulted in an abundance of produce. Students were able to harvest items such as cucumbers, tomatoes and squash.

The staff at High Point Elementary in Sandy Springs really know how to fire up their students. They recently hosted a welcome back pep rally and it was packed. Festivities were led by administration and consisted of loud songs and cheers. Students could be seen smiling with excitement to be back in school and surrounded by friends.
Teachers wore T-shirts showcasing their most prominent Learner Profile, which are the learning characteristics and attributes that define what all High Point learners strive to be.
Teachers model risk-taking, communication, thinking, inquiring, reflection, open-mindedness, balance, knowledge and caring for the students.
