Police Collecting Donations To Assist Hurricane Victims
The Sandy Springs Police Department is collecting various items that will be given to residents recovering from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Sandy Springs Police Department will serve as a drop-off point for donations that will be given to residents recovering from the deadly hurricanes that devastated parts of the southeastern United States.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, residents can drop off various department. The drive is being held in conjunction with Neighbors For LeDor Milteer, supporters of one of two candidates running in the Nov. 7 municipal election to fill the District 4 seat on the City Council (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Items needed include cleaning supplies (mops, buckets, brooms, bleach, gloves, mask, rubber boots), toiletries, adult personal care items, baby items (diapers, clothes, wipes), bed linens, bug spray and non-perishable food items.

These items can be dropped off in the front lobby at the Sandy Springs Police Department's headquarters at 7840 Roswell Road Suite 301.
