Police Investigating "Incident" at Holy Spirit Prep School

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Sandy Springs Police Department has been called into investigate an incident at a local private school.

The agency confirmed early Thursday afternoon that it's investigating an "incident" at Holy Spirit Preparatory's Lower School on Long Island Drive.
The incident, spokesperson Sgt. Forrest Bohannon said, was reported to the police department on Monday, May 2. Police won't be releasing additional details at this time while the case is active, she added.

An incident report released by the agency notes the responding officer made a trip to the school "on a criminal complaint" that took place on Wednesday, April 27.
The school also declined to comment about the incident.
"Our policy has always been not to comment on any kind of personnel matters," said Headmaster Kyle Pietrantonio. "As you no doubt understand, schools place a high priority on the safety and privacy of their students."
