Police: Man Used Fake Check at Target Stores
A man is suspected of using a fake check to buy gift cards at three Georgia Target stores. A $2,000 reward has been offered inthe case.
Police are searching for a man who is suspected of using a fraudulent check to purchase gift cards at the Target stores in Sandy Springs, Lithonia and McDonough.
WSB TV says on March 20 the suspect entered the Target store at the Prado, 5600 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. He purchased multiple gift cards, valued at $296, with a fraudulent check, according to authorities.
Police describe the suspect as a man in his late 20s and about 165 pounds. He left the Sandy Springs Target in a blue Honda Civic with tinted windows.
The man is also suspected of committing the same crime at the Target stores in Lithonia and McDonough.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS. A reward of up to $2,000 is available. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
