Police Rescue 8 Women Held Against Their Will at Sandy Springs Home
Sandy Springs police say a woman called 9-1-1 to say she was being held involuntarily at the home on Strauss Lane.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A 9-1-1 call from a woman pleading for help to escape a Sandy Springs home led police to discover several additional women facing the same plight.
The agency on Wednesday rescued eight women who were being held against their will at a home at 100 Strauss Lane, the department confirmed to Patch.
ChatComm 911 received a call just before 8 a.m. March 8 from a woman who requested help from police to "leave the residence because she was being held against her will," Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham said in a statement.

According to the 911 audio released by Sandy Springs police, a woman on the phone told the dispatcher that "I'm in a very bad situation and I need to get out."
The dispatcher asks the caller if she could elaborate on the situation she is facing. The woman said she is in a "house full of girls" and if she tried to leave, the "boss" would threatened to kill her.

With the help of agents from the FBI's Atlanta Field Office, detectives assisted all eight women in leaving the home. Those investigators also arrested and charged Kenndric Traman Roberts, 33, with false imprisonment and trafficking of persons for labor, Worsham added.
According to the recording, the woman, speaking in a soft, hesitant and sometimes shaky voice, told the dispatcher she was calling from the upper level of the home. The other girls, she said, were unaware of her actions.
They were were still sleeping "because we were working last night," she told the dispatcher.
According to the caller, she and the other girls were forced to dance for money inside the home, which she described as a "very nice house."
Strauss Lane is located in the city's panhandle near the Chattahoochee River. Realtor.com notes the house is estimated to be worth about $1.3 million.
The woman, who told the dispatcher she's 20 years old, arrived at the house about a month ago and that Roberts forced her to undergo plastic surgery. She told the dispatcher she met her "boss" on a website called SeekingArrangements.com, a dating website where younger women can look for relationships with older men.
The caller added that Roberts was the only man living at the home, and repeatedly told the girls that they were free to leave when they wanted. However, she added that he would threaten to kill them if they made that choice.
Worsham said it appears most of the women may have been held at the home between two and three months, but it's unclear where they came from.
Roberts is being held at the Fulton County Jail. The investigation remains active.
