Robbery

  • On March 5th, at I-285 West and Roswell Road, a man reported that while on the way to work, just before 1 p.m., he heard noise from his tire that made him think it was going flat. He pulled over. While checking it, two males approached him and asked if he needed help. He said that he did not. They then asked for a ride. He told them that he could not give them one. The victim turned his back and said he was then hit in the head by one of the men. They took his wallet and then fled. He described the men as #1: black male, 6-0”, dark skin, brown jacket, jeans, and a black hat. He did not get a good look at suspect #2. He said he did not know how they approached him and he did not see a car.
  • A cabbie said that he picked up two males on Buford Highway and drove them into Sandy Springs, on March 3. He was low on gas so he asked for his fare up front. They asked him to pull into the Azalea Park apartments. He said that he had a bad feeling about it so he turned around and drove to the QT Store on Dunwoody Place. One of the men pulled a gun and demanded the cabbie’s money. He refused and then got into a fight with the gunman. While he was fighting, the other suspect apparently went into the glove box and took two I-phones. The two men then fled. Suspect 1: Hispanic male, 5-8” in his 20’s, 170 lbs. He spoke good English. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Suspect 2: (Gunman) Hispanic male, 5-6” and who wore long jeans shorts that covered just below

March 1. The owner of the Young Cleaners on Roswell Road said that someone pried a back door open and then entered the business. $300-$400 is missing from the cash register and desk drawer.

March 3. A resident on Meadow Watch Lane left the garage door open and someone stole a bike from inside the garage.

March 5. The victim, who lives on Huntley Drive said he was at work and then came home for lunch. When he did, he found that a kitchen window had been broken and the home’s inside area was ransacked. Missing are two flat-screen TVs, Apple I-pad, X-Box 360 video game system, HP computer, Asus computer, Sony Vaio computer, watch, and a variety of jewelry.
