Registration Opens For 2014 ArtSS Chalk Walk

Residents who are artistically inclined can now register for the 2014 ArtSS Chalk Walk, which will be held during the 29th annual Sandy Springs Festival.

The cost to compete is $10 to enter, and contestants will be judged in three categories: Middle School, High School and Adult. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. Residents can register online for the competition.

The competition will be held during the festival, which is set for Sept 20-21 at Heritage Green, which sits at 6075 Sandy Springs Circle.

The two-day event will feature fine art, live music, cultural performances, a pet parade, 10K and 5K race, children’s programming, classic rides, gourmet and festival food options.

Tickets are $5 for adults (age 18 and older ) and $2 for youth (ages 6 – 17). Children ages 5 and under and Heritage Sandy
Springs members are free. Two-day passes are also available, which are $7 for adults and $3 for youth.
