Former Sandy Springs doctor Kelly Thrasher is accused of molesting his girlfriend's daughter while out on bond.

The former Sandy Springs doctor sentenced to 25 years in prison on child molestation charges is facing more legal trouble from a neighboring jurisdiction.
DeKalb County police have taken out arrest warrants for Thrasher, 41, for allegedly molesting his girlfriend’s daughter while out on bond, according to WSB-TV.
Thrasher was sentenced on Monday after pleading guilty to child molestation as well as aggravated sexual battery charges in Fulton County Superior Court.

Those charges stem from an incident on Nov. 17, 2012, in which he fondled a girl during a sleepover at his home. The child reported the incident to her parents, who told the police. Thrasher was arrested on the charges and later granted bond.
While awaiting trail, Thrasher in October 2013 stole another man’s identity and obtained a passport in the victim’s name, the district attorney’s office said.

Sandy Springs police issued warrants for Thrasher’s arrest. Instead of surrendering to police, however, Thrasher fled the state. A tip led authorities to Thrasher’s whereabouts at a Miami, Florida, hotel. He was arrested and extradited to Georgia.
In June, Sandy Springs police also charged Thrasher with child sexual exploitation after a forensic inspection of his laptop revealed four pornographic photos of a child.
Along with pleading guilty to the child molestation charges, Thrasher also entered a guilty plea to identity fraud, forgery in the first degree and forgery in the second degree for obtaining a false passport.
According to the terms of his plea agreement, Thrasher will also have to register as a sex offender and serve life on probation following his release.
