Mercedes-Benz To Name Headquarters Site Tuesday
The company is expected to announce where the new home for its U.S. headquarters will be constructed in Sandy Springs.

Mercedes-Benz on Tuesday is planning to announce the new home of its U.S. headquarters in Sandy Springs.
The announcement will be made during a press conference at 2:15 p.m. Feb. 3 at the North Wing in the State Capitol.

Gov. Nathan Deal will be accompanied by Steve Cannon, CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, Chris Carr, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Hala Moddelmog, president and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, at the press conference.
One site under consideration is the southwest corner of Abernathy Road at Barfield Road, Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul previously told Patch.

The move is expected to create least 800 new jobs and invest roughly $74 million into its headquarters, Deal said last month.
