Report Says Former Riverwood Principal Stole $25,000 in Card Charges

The former Sandy Springs high school principal was arrested on Feb. 29.

 

Last fall, an audit report revealed former Riverwood Principal Eddie Echols used a school American Express Card for personal use. He now faces police charges citing $25,000 in fraudulent credit card charges, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Echols was investigated by Fulton County Schools Police Chief Felipe Usury, the AJC story said. He resigned from the Sandy Springs high school, last September.

He was arrested on Feb. 29 on charges of financial identity fraud, theft by taking, and financial transaction card fraud.

On March 1, The former principal was released on $15,000 bond, the AJC reports.
