Reward Offered in Sandy Springs Shooting Case

A total reward of $14, 500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person of persons responsible for the shooting of Adina Parson.

Governor Nathan Deal, Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta and friends of Parson offer the reward, according to a statement from Sandy Springs Police. Governor Deal signed an executive order this week, directing $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. Crime Stoppers and friends of Parson have offered the $4,500 balance.

Sandy Springs Police say they have no motive in , an attorney for the Georgia Department of Public Health. She suffered eight gunshot wounds, three in the head, at the Residences of Morgan Falls Apartments. She was found in the breezeway of her apartment building, and has been in critical condition at Grady Hospital.

Earlier this week, Chief Terry Sult told Fox Atlanta News that the community is concerned about the shooting. “She is one of these innocent victims," Sult said. "Often times we deal with crimes where people are living high -risk lifestyles. In this case it appears She was a very low-risk lifestyle, and it’s very very concerning to the community as a whole, particularly to her family and her faith community”
