UPDATE at 6:08 p.m.: All children are now at High Point Elementary and the school is in the midst of dismissal for its bus riders.

“Hazmat is still evaluating the Ridgeview building, but so far have not found any source of the irritation,” Fulton schools spokesperson Susan Hale said. “We’ve also learned that the students who were transported to the hospital are improving.”

UPDATE at 5:02 p.m.: Fulton County Schools spokesperson Susan Hale said students are being transported to nearby High Point Elementary School at 520 Greenland Road NE and parents can pick up their children there.

“If students normally ride the bus, we encourage parents to allow them to do that,” she added. “This will lessen traffic at High Point and help create a speedier dismissal and reunification process.”

According to Fulton County Schools spokesperson Susan Hale, the school called 911 around 3:30 p.m. to report the medical emergency.

Hale stated all four students were all in the same area of the school. The Sandy Springs Fire Department and paramedics have responded to check out the students and evaluate air quality.

“As a precaution, we have moved our students outside,” she said. “Children are safe, with their classes, and under supervision of their teachers. “We ask that parents do not come to the school – police are not allowing access to the school or for students to be released until the evacuation is lifted.”
