Riverwood Athletes Named Wendy’s High School Heisman Candidates

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Two seniors at Riverwood International Charter School were recently named Wendy’s High School Heisman Candidates for their role as student athletes.

Seniors Katrina Balga and John Beckley were selected as Riverwood school-level winners.

John Beckley is a varsity football and baseball player and Katrina Balga runs on the girls cross country team.

As school winners, they advanced to the state-level competition where 20 athletes – 10 males and 10 females – from Georgia will become state finalists in the national contest.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman Candidate program recognizes seniors who are proven leaders and role models within their school and community.
