Riverwood Charter School Senior Named Posse Scholar

Inara Valliani was one of sixty students named as 2016 Posse Scholar at the Fox Theatre on January 6.

From Riverwood Internation Charter School: Riverwood International Charter School senior, Inara Valliani, was selected as a 2016 Posse Scholar. Ms. Vallani is an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate at Riverwood and will attend George Washington University in the fall. She was one of 60 students honored at a ceremony at the Fox Theatre on January 6, 2017.

Started in 1989, Posse is one of the most comprehensive and renowned college access and youth leadership development programs in the United States. The Posse Foundation identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes. The Foundation extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams—Posses—of 10 students. The Foundation’s partner colleges and universities award Posse Scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships.
