Riverwood To Host Seminar For College-Bound Student Athletes

Students, parents and families in Sandy Springs are invited to attend the seminar, which will be held Sept. 9.

Riverwood International Charter School will offer a free seminar, Guiding the College-Bound Athlete, next month for students and parents interested in learning more about playing sports in college.

The Raider Athletic Department invites students in grades 8-12, parents and coaches from all local schools to attend the event, which will be held at the school.

The program, set for Wednesday, Sept. 9, will start at 7 p.m. at the school’s auditorium, located at 5300 Heards Drive. It is free to attend and no RSVP is required.

Representatives from Dynamite Sports will be in the auditorium lobby starting at 6:30 p.m. with handouts and for a screening of a short, pre-program video.

Guiding the College-Bound Athlete provides families information about the availability of athletic scholarships and the realities of the college recruiting process.
