Riverwood PTSA Awards Five $1,000 Scholarships
The funds will be paid to the two- or four-year college or technical school that the recipient attends.

From Riverwood Int'l School: Riverwood International Charter School’s Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) awarded $1,000 scholarships to five graduating seniors as part of its annual PTSA Scholarship Program. The funds will be paid to the two- or four-year college or technical school that the recipient attends. The Class of 2018 recipients, who each received a $1,000 scholarship, are: Ellie Addington, Justin Coleman, Jocelyn Gonzalez, Sonya Reznikov, and Daniela Zepeda. A scholarship selection committee at Riverwood chose the winners from a competitive pool of applicants and the recipients were notified during Honors Night on April 26.
Notes PTSA Co-President Jill Segal, "The Riverwood PTSA is proud to award five scholarships to students in this year’s graduating class in the amount of $1,000 each. We have been funding this scholarship for many years and were able to increase from four to five recipients several years ago thanks to generous donations and the good financial stewardship of PTSA monies. We are grateful to the many parents and teachers whose membership in PTSA allows us to present these scholarships, in addition to the other support we provide the school." Riverwood Commencement ceremonies will take place on May 24th at the Cobb Energy Centre.
