Riverwood Runs For A Reason 5K Set For Oct. 27

The 5K race begins and ends at Riverwood International Charter School in Sandy Springs.

Riverwood Int'l School: Saturday, October 27 marks the date for the Riverwood International Charter School’s 3rd Annual RIVERWOOD RUNS FOR A REASON 5K road race. Hosted by the Riverwood Community Service Club, proceeds go towards its third annual Spring Break Service Trip, as well as to a Habitat for Humanity house that students are helping to build from the ground up in Atlanta. In April 2019, students will head to Olancho, Honduras to help develop the community infrastructure and to promote health and wellness. Many of the same students are currently engaged in an eight-week Habitat house build in the Grove Park neighborhood, which they are completing in conjunction with students from six other area schools.

Sponsorships are available at the $100 and $500 level. $100 donors have logos placed on the event t-shirt, recognition at the school and on race day, and the option to place promotional material in the give-away goodie bags. Donors at the $500 level also receive two race entries, logo placement on the Spring Break trip t-shirt, as well as acknowledgement across Riverwood’s various social media platforms. Contact Laura Taylor, Riverwood Faculty Sponsor of the Community Service Club, at taylorls@fultonschools.org for further information.
