Riverwood Student-Athlete Commits to Washington University

Tyler Diamond recently signed on to play at third base at the school in St. Louis, Missouri.

Riverwood International Charter High School senior Tyler Diamond recently committed to play baseball for Washington University.

The future Wash U Bear will play third base at the school in St. Louis, Missouri. While at Riverwood, Diamond played basketball during both his freshman and sophomore years. During that time, he was named MVP and captain before giving up the sport to enter the school’s IB Diploma Program.

Tyler, the son of Sherri and Michael Diamond of Sandy Springs, is the first Riverwood student in the IB Diploma program to be named a Top 10 student and play baseball in college.

Other achievements include serving as a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Principals’ scholar, Academic Super Star and AP scholar.
