Riverwood Student Obtains Perfect ACT Score

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A Riverwood International Charter School student recently obtained a perfect score on the ACT.

Jeremy Colton received a 36 on the ACT (American College Testing) exam. Currently a senior at the Sandy Springs school, Jeremy took the exam in February while he was still a junior, the school said.

Those ACT scores for the 2015-16 school year were released last week by the Fulton County School System.

Jeremy's interests are math and science, and he plans to study engineering in college.

Outside of school he enjoys playing frisbee and doing volunteering work, including serving as a summer camp counselor, particularly at the Marcus Jewish Community Center.

So, what advice would he give to fellow students planning to take the ACT? Practice makes perfect, of course.

Jeremy notes the best way to succeed on the exam is to do a a lot of practice tests to prepare for the real deal.

223 Riverwood students took the ACT in 2016, with an average composite score of 22.9. Based on data released in 2016, less than 1 percent of those taking the ACT achieve a perfect score.
