Riverwood Student Wins Scholarship To Congressional Seminar
The 2018 summer workshop offers a unique experience to study American government and history with 10-12th grade students across the country.

From Riverwood Int'l School: Riverwood International Charter School is proud to announce that rising senior Julie Mittelstedt (Class of 2019) won a "Future Leaders of America" scholarship from the Fulton County Law Week Committee. She will attend a Washington Workshop Seminar this summer. Mittelstedt accepted her award at the annual Fulton County Law Week ceremony on May 1 at the State Bar of Georgia headquarters.
Mittelstedt went through an extensive application and interview process for the scholarship, competing with outstanding high school students from across Metro Atlanta. The scholarship covers round-trip airfare, tuition, room and board, and all expenses associated with the Washington Workshop Congressional Seminar. Malone Law is sponsoring Mittelstedt’s scholarship. The 2018 summer workshop offers a unique experience to study American government and history with 10-12th grade students from across the country. During their week in Washington, D.C., students will attend meetings of the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court, and will become acquainted with other governmental offices and institutions. They will also attend an event at the historic Dumbarton house, national headquarters of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America.
