Riverwood Students Selected For 2019 All State Orchestra
Sophomore harpist Madeline Chen and freshman cellist Nathaniel Stone won the honors.
From Riverwood Int'l:Riverwood International Charter School is proud to announce the selection of two musicians to both the Fulton County High School Honor Orchestra and the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) All-State Orchestra. Congratulations to Sophomore Madeline Chen (harp) and Freshman Nathaniel Stone (cello) for these honors.
In November, Chen and Stone performed in concert with other outstanding musicians from across the county at Centennial High School. For the 2018-19 All-State Orchestra, they will travel to Athens for two days of workshops and practice, culminating in a performance Saturday, March 2 in the Classic Center. Chen and Stone will play in the full 9th and 10th grade String Orchestra directed by William White.
