“We need the public’s patience, and I’m strongly asking and urging people to stay off the roads in Sandy Springs Tuesday,” said Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul. “People trying to traverse our city will severely complicate our situation and cause real public safety problems, both to themselves and our crews.”
Monday proved to be a brutal and tragic day for the city, as dozens of reports of fallen trees and power lines were regularly reported throughout the city. Those reports were documented throughout the day on the city's Facebook page. A male resident was killed Monday afternoon when a tree sliced through his home on Hardeman Road.
