Rotary Club Honors Sandy Springs Public Safety Employees

The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs hosted its annual Public Safety Awards Luncheon, which recognizes employees for their contributions to the city.

This year’s honorees were:

  • Chief Fire Officer of the Year - Division Commander Donald Willbanks
  • Paramedic of the Year - Firefighter Kevin Parks
  • Firefighter of the Year - Firefighter Daniel Fullmore
  • Fire Officer of the Year - Captain James Reeves
  • Police Officers of the Year - Officers Elizardo Rodriguez and Katrina Bruce
  • Police Supervisor of the Year - Sergeant Scott Levy

Along with the awards ceremony, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs is also organizing dinners to honor local heroes.

This year’s dinners will take place at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, Wednesday, Oct. 21 and Thursday, Oct. 22 at Fire Station No. 2 at 135 Johnson Ferry Road.

Dinner will be provided by Carl’s Catering, Brooklyn’s Cafe and Ippolito’s.

These dinners are served over three consecutive evenings to accommodate the shifts of public safety personnel.
