Safety Improvements Planned For Riverside Drive Roundabouts
Georgia DOT contractors will perform the work on the roundabouts at I-285 over the course of four weekends in June.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Georgia Department of Transportation will soon begin work on implementing various safety improvements to the northbound and southbound roundabouts at the Riverside Drive interchange at Interstate 285 in Sandy Springs.
Contractors will perform construction work on four consecutive weekends starting June 2, weather permitting. While no detours will be required for the project, motorists and residents should note there will be lane closures throughout the duration of the work.
Work will begin Fridays after the evening commute and will end on the following Monday prior to the morning commute. The surrounding community should expect to hear noise due to contractors using heavy equipment to break and move concrete, the state said.
