Sandy Springs Adds Technology Surcharge To Permit Fees

The fee will help the city recover the cost of technology and software needed to provide online permitting services.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Sandy Springs City Council on Tuesday approved adding a technology surcharge to all permit applications.

The fee, which was unanimously, will be applied to help the city recover the cost of technology and software needed to provide online permitting services.

The fees will be implemented on a sliding scale, with permit applications under $100 charged a $5 technology surcharge.

Permits applications valued over $50,000 will incur the maximum, with a $200 technology surcharge. The city notes the fees will be applied immediately.
