Repairs Planned For Sandy Springs Circle, Mt. Vernon Intersection
Weather permitting, the emergency conduit repair will take place Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- This weekend, the city of Sandy Springs will begin emergency conduit repairs at one of its busiest intersections. The work at Sandy Springs Circle and Mt. Vernon Highway is expected to kick off July 7 and wrap up by Sunday, July 9.
The city initially planned to close off the entire intersection during the daylight hours to accommodate emergency conduit repairs at the site. However, Sandy Springs revised its plans to provide some relief to motorists, particularly those trying to get home during the July 7 evening rush hour.
From 8 a.m. to noon Friday, crews will cut open the pavement to expose the work sites. Once that's done, the intersection will reopen for travel until 10 p.m. that evening when it will close again. Crews will return to the site to perform actual conduit repairs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the city said.
