According to the organization’s website, Bain plans to spend more time with her family and continue her activism in greenspace conservation throughout the city.

She will also serve as a newly appointed member of the organization’s Board of Directors, Sandy Springs Conservancy said on its Facebook page.

Bain formally introduced Parrish as the organization’s new executive director at the Dec. 1 Sandy Springs City Council meeting. Parrish was also able to greet other city staff members and stakeholders before the Council’s meeting.

He will formally enter the role on Jan. 1, 2016.

”Billy and Linda have already begun the transition, and we could not be happier to welcome Billy to the Sandy Springs Conservancy team,” the organization said.
