Sandy Springs Extends Moratoriums On Gas Stations, Rezonings
The City Council approved the extensions to allow for the revised development code to be completed and adopted.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Developers who were planning to submit rezoning and special land use petitions in Sandy Springs will have to wait a few more months before they can get those plans to city officials.
That's because the city of Sandy Springs approved extending a 150-day moratorium currently in place on all rezoning and special land use permit applications. The moratorium, which was originally approved in February, will now expire on Sept. 30. The extension was requested by city staff to allow the revised development code to be completed and adopted by the city leaders.
Council members also approved extending an existing moratorium for gas stations and convenience stores until the development code is approved. This moratorium will now run through Sept. 30.
