Sandy Springs Fire Rescue To Host Free Car Seat Inspections
The inspections will take place at Fire Station No. 2 at 135 Johnson Ferry Road.

The Sandy Springs Fire Rescue Department wants to ensure that the city’s youngest residents are safe and secure while they are on the road.

To do this, the agency will host free inspections between 9 a.m. and noon Wednesdays at Fire Station No. 2, located at 135 Johnson Ferry Road.
Inspections typically take between 30 to 60 minutes per seat, and include training for parents.

Sandy Springs Fire Rescue will also continue to provide child safety seat installation assistance for new parents by appointment.

According to Georgia law, all children under the age of eight are required to be properly restrained in an appropriate child passenger safety seat or booster while traveling in a vehicle. Information about state law can be found on the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety’s website.
