Sandy Springs Foundation Names Executive Director

Emily Hutmacher previously served as director of development at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The Sandy Springs Foundation has tapped Emily Hutmacher to serve a executive director of its organization focused on arts-related programming in the city. Hutmacher brings to the foundation more than 20 years of experience in business development, foundation and donor relations and strategic partnerships.

“Emily has an impressive background in philanthropy with a successful record in building capital campaigns, program funding, and annual giving, with most of her experience in the Atlanta area," said Sandy Springs Foundation Chair Ken Byers. "The Board looks forward to her insight and leadership as we generate funding sources to enhance arts programming in Sandy Springs."

Hutmacher comes to the Sandy Springs Foundation from Emory Johns Creek Hospital where she served as director of development. She worked in a similar capacity at Piedmont Healthcare Foundation and with Visiting Nurse Health System/Hospice Atlanta, both located in the metro area. Her experience includes staff and volunteer management, project management, board engagement and community relations.

Hutmacher has a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University. She will begin her role as executive director in February.
