Sandy Springs Fugitive Killed in New York City
Police said Wyatt shot 19-year-old Julian Wilson six times in the back, last April, outside an apartment at 550 Abernathy Road.
Rudolph Wyatt, a 23-year-old fugitive wanted by Sandy Springs Police, and considered armed and dangerous since last year, was killed during a New York robbery attempt, Thursday.

“[Wilson] looked exactly like a guy who ripped off his brother in a drug deal,” Rose said. Warrants have been out on Wyatt since the shooting. Wilson survived after being wounded in the back, buttocks and leg.
In a press statement, Rose said that according to media sources in New York, Wyatt and an accomplice walked into a pharmacy in the Harlem district, Thursday, and pulled a gun demanding money and the drugs Oxycodone and Percocet.

During the robbery, the employee activated a silent alarm. As the pair fled, police were waiting outside the pharmacy. Wyatt's accomplice surrendered but Wyatt fled while firing his weapon at police. He was shot and killed by return fire from an officer as well as a retired police lieutenant who was at a gas station across the street. Wyatt died at the scene. During the commotion, his accomplice was able to flee. He is currently being sought.
Wyatt was suspected in a number of pharmacy robberies in the Bronx section of New York over the past weeks. He was being sought by the NYPD fugitive warrant squad in connection with the robberies.
