Sandy Springs Girl, 12, Named a Hasbro Community Action Hero

Brooklyn Wright proves that age isn't a factor in creating positive change.

Brooklyn Wright, a 12-year-old Sandy Springs resident, was named a Hasbro Community Action Hero for her incredible volunteer efforts to create positive change in the community.

Hasbro, in partnership with generationOn — the youth division of Points of Light — selected 10 service leaders out of several hundred submissions of youth that have made a difference both in their hometown communities and the world through hands-on service projects that create awareness for important social issues.

Brooklyn is the creator and CEO of the non-profit program Earth Saver Girl, which raises awareness of environmental issues. She has spoken at more than 400 schools, churches and libraries to educate her fellow peers about littering and encourages them to be mindful of the environment.
