Sandy Springs Honors Veterans With Annual Ceremony

The city's 5th annual Veterans Day Tribute will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial at the Concourse Corporate Center.

The city of Sandy Springs next Tuesday will once again honor those who’ve served our country in its fifth annual Veterans Day Tribute.

The ceremony will take place Nov. 11 at the Veteran’s Memorial located at the Concourse Corporate Center next to the Queen Building (Building Five) at 5 Concourse Parkway.

The program begins at 11:30 a.m., and former U.S. Army Captain Jack Solomon will serve as this year’s keynote speaker. Solomon graduated from West Point in 1953, and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant of Artillery. He served 12 years in the United States Army in various command and staff positions.

Other event participants include the North Springs Charter High School JTROTC Honor Guard and special music sung by Sandy Springs Fire Rescue Captain Mark Ware and Lieutenant Rodney Brooks of the Henry County Fire Department.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Concourse parking deck six.
