Sandy Springs Introduces New Logo
The new design was unveiled during the City Council's Oct. 4 meeting.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- As it enters the second decade of its incorporation, the city of Sandy Springs felt it was time to update the look of its logo.
And on Tuesday evening, that new design was unveiled to the City Council during its Oct. 4 meeting. The city has rolled out a new logo that it will begin implementing on various documents and promotional material.

The redesign was needed as the city's first logo, famous for its incorporation of the trees and river the city is known for, was cumbersome to recreate on certain documents.

For those who are partial to the old look and would hate to see it disappear, don't fret. City spokesperson Sharon Kraun said the old logo will remain on the city's seal, which will still be utilized for "official" purposes.
“That will always be part of the city’s history," she added.
