Sandy Springs Leaders Approve New Permit Fee Schedule
The fees were adjusted to align with costs associated with staff time in processing requests and posting legal notices.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Sandy Springs City Council at its Nov. 21 meeting approved an update to its fee schedule for the Community Development Department. These fees cover building permits related to single-family dwellings with three or more units, and are based on the type of housing and type of construction.
The city’s Community Development Department handles the requests for permits, zoning actions, and applications related to construction within the city. Fees are often tied to a specific zoning district where the request applies.
"With the adoption of the Comprehensive Plan and new development code, we needed to update the fee schedule to match the changes in our zoning map," said Assistant City Manager Jim Tolbert. "The new fee schedule now supports the updates to the code."

The new fee structure will be in effect for all projects submitted to the city after Dec. 15, 2017.
